Nobody has to take Ketrawe Foundation's word for it.
Ketrawe: Vaca Diez
87,284 tonnes of CO₂ over ten years of forest conservation in Vaca Diez, Bolivia. Over $1 million in credits, verified by CarbonSpace.
DOVU's role
The record behind each credit
Ketrawe Foundation runs the programme. CarbonSpace verifies the carbon. DOVU lists the credits on dovu.market and keeps the record. Anyone can check:
- Which of the two project periods each credit belongs to
- The CarbonSpace verification attached to it
- That each credit was issued once, and whether it has been retired
- The price it was listed at, on dovu.market
The problem
Deforestation pressure in the Amazon Basin threatens biodiversity and releases stored carbon. Conservation needed revenue that could compete with clearing the land, and buyers needed proof that credits represented carbon that would otherwise have been lost.
What DOVU did
Ketrawe Foundation ran a ten-year agroforestry and conservation programme in Vaca Diez across two periods, 2014 to 2019 and 2020 to 2024, holding over 87,000 tonnes of CO₂.
- CarbonSpace verified both periods independently
- DOVU lists both periods on dovu.market as separate projects
- At $12 per tonne the programme has generated over $1 million in credit value, each credit recorded once at issuance
“Our Vaca Diez program demonstrates that rainforest conservation can be economically sustainable. By generating verified carbon credits, we create real economic value for communities who protect these vital ecosystems, proving that conservation and prosperity can go hand in hand.”
